Dither Dream

A slowly warped field gathers into broad currents and dissolves into open space. Each cell on a fixed grid samples the field, resolving into a dot, a dash or a cross as its intensity grows. Ordered dithering breaks the quieter edges into scattered marks. The forms move through the grid while the marks stay anchored. Six earlier states leave a fading red afterimage in the space the current has just vacated, while the live form stays warm white.
