Nebula

Each pixel traces a ray through a twisted, noise-carved volume. An elliptical envelope gathers the cloud into a filament and leaves the surrounding space dark. Sampling density toward a light source separates illuminated edges from the interior; front-to-back absorption gives overlapping wisps their depth. The material stays monochrome.
