Behind the study
A thin square plate turns in three-dimensional space. Across its face, two symmetric standing-wave modes combine into Chladni-inspired nodal patterns: bright grains trace the places where the waves cancel. A slow shift between mode pairs lets loops open, connect, and reorganize while preserving the square’s mirror symmetries. The grains are a procedural rendering of the nodal field, rather than a particle simulation.
