Signal Trace

Synthetic waveforms stacked into a landscape, inspired by the graphic language of Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures. Each channel has its own gain and slowly changing activity, while a travelling pulse moves through the stack. Three noise frequencies shape the ridges; quiet shoulders keep their edges anchored. Each line masks the area beneath it, letting foreground peaks hide the traces behind them and turn amplitude into depth.
